The summer sun in the American southwest can seem to obliterate as much as it illuminates. The intensity of its force takes on new resonance in our time of mass draught and increasing temperatures.

For each of these works, I have combined multiple views of the same place using a digital process similar to analog multiple exposure. Moving across the triptychs, more views are added to each image. As the exposures accrue the prints lighten, shadows vanish, foliage fades.

Diptychs and triptychs are comprised of individual prints framed separately.  I make all prints on rag paper in editions of 3 plus one AP.
